Perron L. Tucker, DMD
Dr. Tucker is a long-time resident of the Vestavia Hills area. After graduating from Vestavia Hills High School in 1984, he received his undergraduate degree while attending Birmingham-Southern College. He earned his dental degree from the University of Alabama School of Dentistry in 1992 preceding a two-year hospital General Practice Residency Program at the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston. After entering private practice in 1995 as an associate of the late Dr. Frank L. Vines of Homewood, he relocated his practice to the Rocky Ridge Business District of Vestavia Hills in 2009. He is an avid outdoorsman who enjoys hunting, fishing, and raising cattle while spending time at the family farm. Dr. Tucker and his wife Cortney reside in Vestavia with their two sons, Henry and Charlie.

Tina has worked side-by-side with Dr. Tucker since 1998. She began her dental assisting career in 1990 in Birmingham. She joined Dr. Tucker‘s staff when she relocated from Arkansas, her home state. Many of our patients turn to Tina for guidance when they are considering new dental treatment. She is available to answer any questions you have as well, about your treatment.
Since 1977 Donna Stevenson has been helping patients with periodontal concerns and motivating them to better oral health. Donna began her dental career in 1975 as a dental assistant, and then obtained her hygiene license in 1977. Her expertise and wealth of knowledge in the area of dental hygiene and oral disease are broad-based and effective.
Cortney is a native of Nashville, Tennessee but has lived and worked in the Vestavia Hills area since 2001. She completed a BS in pre-medical Biology/Chemistry prior to earning a Masters of Public Health in Epidemiology from The University of Alabama at Birmingham. After working for several years in the Infection Control arena, Cortney joined the Tucker Family Dentistry team in June 2012. Cortney’s organizational and interpersonal skills allow her to be comfortable in all aspects of the dental business office. Her duties have expanded from the back of the office to the front, where you may find her ready to assist you with your office visit, appointment scheduling, or patient account.
Jordan has been in the dental field since 2009, and became a dental hygienist in 2012. She wears several hats in the office as a dental hygienist, dental assistant, and taking on several front office duties. She is dedicated to educating patients on their individual needs. Her outgoing personality and understanding nature make it easy for patients to feel comfortable during their visits. Jordan grew up in the small town of Brent, AL and currently resides in McCalla, AL with her husband, daughter, and teacup yorkie, Grayson. Away from the office, she enjoys time spent with her family and friends, camping, and Alabama football (Roll Tide!).
Melissa has been in dentistry since 1993 and has been a hygienist since 1997. She is trained in all aspects of the business, from assisting and hygienist, to insurance and management. She enjoys helping and educating patients about their oral health as well as helping them navigate their insurance so they can get the maximum benefits available to them through their plans. Melissa grew up in north Alabama where she still resides with her husband, Stephen. Together they have four children and one granddaughter. Outside the office, she enjoys cooking and spending time with her family at the lake.
Michaela has been in dentistry for 10 years and joined Tucker Family Dentistry in September of 2018. She enjoys building relationships with patients and ensuring their dental needs are met. Outside the office, she enjoys spending time with her family and trying new recipes.
