Patient Billing

We deliver exceptional care at a reasonable cost. For your convenience, we accept cash, check, Visa, MasterCard, Discover, American Express, and Care Credit. Payment for dental care is due at the time services are rendered unless otherwise agreed upon.  Balances are to be paid in full by the time treatment is completed unless prior arrangements have been made with this office. We can make arrangements for a payment plan but this must be done with our Financial Coordinator prior to the beginning of treatment.

Developed specifically for our patients, we offer in-house financial benefits through our Prevention Plus Dental Savings Plan.  For one annual fee, this plan provides each member with two annual Dental Wellness or Periodontal Maintenance visits along with all necessary cavity detection x-rays and fluoride treatment for children under 19 years of age. In addition, each member receives 10% off other dental services and treatments in our office with NO deductible, NO waiting period, and NO maximum benefit.

Insurance

We make every effort to provide you with optimal oral health care and the most convenient financial options. We electronically file insurance claims for all our patients who provide the correct insurance coverage documentation, and as a courtesy will follow up on delayed claims for up to 60 days as a courtesy.  Please remember that insurance should be viewed as an aid in helping make dental treatment affordable.  

Tucker Family Dentistry is a provider for the following dental insurance carriers:

-Delta Dental Premier

-Guardian Preferred PPO

-Cigna Radius and Cigna Dental Savings Plan

-Aetna Traditional PPO and Aetna PPO II

-UniCare Insurance Plans (GRID and GRID+) **

Unlike other types of medical or health insurance, dental insurance will generally not pay for 100% of services and the patient may have a deductible and/or co-payment that they are responsible for paying.  Co-payments and deductibles are due on the date of service.  Wherever possible, we will estimate the co-payment amount and make payment arrangements with you prior to treatment.  The estimated difference that the insurance does not pay is due at the time services are rendered. 

Any controversy which might arise over your insurance company’s handling of your claim is your contracted responsibility.  Any discrepancy between the insurance company’s allowance and your total indebtedness remains your responsibility.  Any insurance claim that has not been paid within 60 days of treatment will be billed back to you.

Look at the back of your insurance card.  If you see the designation of GRID or GRID +  on your insurance card, you should be covered in our office. While all insurance coverages vary upon your policy, BCBS of TN and BCBS of NC historically pay benefits in our office.)
